About The 2010 Awards
The CEDIA Awards 2010, was held in association with AWE Europe, KEF Audio UK, Philips Pronto and Sonos, firmly establishing its high profile focus for excellence within the industry. And, in order to ensure that the scheme continued to set the standards and remain a credible and worthy celebration of the best the industry has to offer, CEDIA toughened up the Best Practice guidelines and technical criteria.
As always, the CEDIA Awards 2010 brought together some of the best examples of home electronic systems integration in the industry. From penthouses in St. Pancras to 19th century Belgian castles, and everything in between; the event celebrated the true depth of design and installation talent in the residential custom installation sector, from across CEDIA EMEA.

Amongst the winners were some outstanding installations, including that from Olive AV, who won the Best Media Room under £15,000 category for ‘Kensington Apartment'; the perfect demonstration of seamless integration within the challenges of a minimalist space. FAB Audio Visual triumphed with ‘Gentleman's Club' in the Best Home Cinema over £100,000 category, which the judges praised as a "technically flawless solution which will deliver an awesome sound."
Elsewhere, Prestige Audio's ‘The White House' proved a clear winner in the Best Integrated Home under £100,000 category, thanks to its sensitive integration of AV, lighting and security control for a cost-conscious client. And, Censys Residential Control won in the Best Integrated Home over £250,000 category for ‘Kasteel Domein Amerloo'; an all-encompassing technological solution for a castle in Belgium that is, quite literally, integration on a monumental scale.
Robert Hallam, Chairman of CEDIA EMEA (2001-2003 and 2006-2011) and CEDIA Awards Chair of Judges said. "It takes time and effort to enter the CEDIA Awards and we would like to thank all our members for supporting the scheme again this year and we congratulate all those who have taken part. These companies are responsible for raising the bar, both in terms of the standard of entries and the expectations of what can be achieved. Competition this year was more intense than ever and it has resulted in an exciting and standout event that is a worthy showcase for our industry."
